Winterfest poured with a medium, light tan colored head. Beer color is a reddish brown, lighter than mahogany. The aroma is sweet, with stewed fruit or dark fruit, caramel, hops and a little citrus. The taste has some of the fruit and caramel sweetness, but the hops come in quickly and are a lot more prominent than they were in the aroma. You get a little lingering bitterness from the hops, which balances out the sweetness. Leaves some bitterness and fruit for the aftertaste. Nice creamy mouth feel. I enjoyed the flavors on this one, particularly the transition from sweet to bitter.
