Double Stout poured with a medium, rich chocolaty brown head. Beer color is a dark blackish brown. No light shines through the glass when held up to the light. The aroma is chocolate, roasted malt and a little dark fruit. The taste has even more roasted malt, almost smoky, with cocoa and vanilla. Bittersweet chocolate. Creamy, and leaves some of that cocoa-like coating on your mouth that many of the stouts do. The aftertaste leaves you with a little smoke and bitter.
