New Belgium Frambozen ....

Today I will have a Frambozen Raspberry Brown Ale, Ale Fermented with Real Raspberries, from New Belgium Brewing Company.  6.5% ABV is listed on the twelve ounce bottle.  The web site shows 15.5 IBUs.

This beer poured with a beige head, with a tinge of red/pink to it.  The red & pink color is also in the beer as it is a ruby/dark copper.  The aroma is sweet, with malt and a strong note of berries.  There is even more evidence of the berries in the taste - berry flavor and tartness.  A little malt to balance things out.  An enjoyable beer, but the taste & aroma are primarily berries - not in a bad way - but if that is not your thing then this is not a beer for you.
