Shiner Hefeweizen ....

My beer for tonight is the Hefeweizen from Shiner Beers.  Twelve ounce bottle.  The Shiner web site shows 5.6% ABV and 17 IBUs.  It is listed as an unfiltered wheat, with lemon and orange zest, and some clover honey as additional ingredients.

This Shiner poured with a very thick, bone colored head.  Beer color is a cloudy yellow, and it has a fair amount of carbonation.  Aroma is yeasty, and has some sweetness which I assume is the honey; not getting much citrus.  Taste is malty, but a little thin.  Not overly wheaty/yeasty.  Not getting much honey or citrus in the taste either - maybe my taste buds are off tonight?  Mild bodied.  Aftertaste is just a simple "beer" taste.
