Rahr Texas Red ....

Today I will have a Texas Red (Amber Lager) from Rahr & Sons Brewing Company.  Twelve ounce bottle.  Their web site shows 4.5% ABV and 25 IBUs.

Texas Red poured with a medium, cream colored head.  The beer color is a dark copper, almost a brown with reddish tints.  Nice aroma - I am getting bread, spice and some caramel.  Mild bodied.  The taste has the same notes as the aroma, just a little milder than I prefer.  Not getting much hops.  A little bitterness in the taste and aftertaste.
