Mendocino Blue Heron Pale Ale ....

Today I am sampling Blue Heron Pale Ale from Mendocino Brewing Company.  The twelve ounce bottle shows 6.1% ABV.

This beer poured with a thick, bone colored head.  The beer color is a golden yellow, and there is quite a bit of visible carbonation.  The aroma has a floral/fruity sweetness to it.  Mild bodied.  The taste has some grain, malt and a little spice.  I don't get much sweetness in the taste.  The finish is dry and leaves a little bitterness.
