Ballast Point Pale Ale ....

Tonight I will have the Pale Ale from Ballast Point Brewing Company.  Twelve ounce bottle.  Their web site shows 4.6% ABV and 23 IBUs, and "crafted in the style of the Kolsch beers of Cologne, Germany."

Pale Ale poured with a small to medium, off-white head.  The beer color is a medium yellow, and it is slightly cloudy.  Aroma is bready/yeasty, with a slight fruitiness.  Mild bodied.  Malt, bread, grain.  A little bit of sweeter fruit towards the end, then a tiny amount of bitterness.  A mild beer aftertaste.  This is definitely a milder beer, but has a lot going on if you take your time and give it a chance.
