Alaskan Amber ....

Tonight I will be trying my second from Alaskan Brewing Company, their Amber.  Twelve ounce bottle.  The Alaskan web site shows 5.3% ABV and 18 IBUs.

This beer poured with a thinner, tan colored head.  Beer color is darker amber.  The aroma - a little bready, with caramel, spice, and dark fruit; an overall light sweetness.  Mild to medium bodied.  A nice mouth feel.  The taste has some caramel, a mild nuttiness, some spice.  Smooth.  A slight bitter bite - more than I expected based on the listed IBUs.  Very little aftertaste - just a hint of the beer.  Much like the Alaskan IPA I sampled previously, this beer doesn't knock your socks off in the flavor department, but it is smooth, tasty and kind of grows on you.
