This beer poured with a medium, rich brown head that was a little darker than tan. Beer color is a darker, reddish copper/brown. The aroma has sweet caramel, dark fruits. I am not getting the citrus in the aroma that I did with the standard Arrogant Bastard. The taste is malty with a good amount of tart citrus and pine. Looking at my notes on Arrogant Bastard, it seems the "oaked" has slightly mellowed the bitterness. Getting some fruit, caramel and the higher alcohol as well. The aftertaste leaves you with some of the bitter.
