Great Divide Hercules Double IPA ....

Tonight I will have yet another IPA: Hercules Double IPA from Great Divide Brewing Company.  The 1 pint, 6 ounce bottle lists 10% ABV and 85 IBUs.

This beer poured with a small head.  It had a definite brown tint to it, but not quite a tan.  Beer color is a orange-ish amber, cloudy, and there is sediment in the glass.  The aroma is what you expect from a double IPA - smooth and sweet, with citrus, fruit and hints of the higher alcohol.  Very nice.  The taste hits you with some citrus, and a grapefruit-like bitterness right up front.  Then some malt, sweetness and the alcohol come in.  It finishes a little malty and dry, and leaves you with a nice bitter aftertaste.
