Brooklyn East India Pale Ale ....

Tonight I will have an East India Pale Ale from Brooklyn Brewery.  6.9% ABV is listed on the twelve ounce bottle.  Their web site shows IBUs at 47.

This beer poured with a small to medium, bone colored head.  Beer color is a darker gold/yellow, not quite into an amber; maybe a little orange.  The aroma has some sweet malt and citrus.  There also seems to be a little wheat/grain to the aroma.  Medium bodied.  The taste has a good amount of malt, a little citrus, sweetness, and floral notes.  Some bitterness slowly builds in the background.  Hides the alcohol well.  Leaves you with a mild bitterness for an aftertaste.  Overall, this is an IPA that is a little heavier on the malt than it is on the hops.
