Flying Dog Tire Bite Golden Ale ....

Sampling my first from Flying Dog Brewery for the year - a Tire Bite Golden Ale.  The twelve ounce bottle shows 5.1% ABV and 16.5 IBUs.  Flying Dog has some of the wildest artwork on their bottles.  The crazy looking dogs are the work of Ralph Steadman, who people may recognize as the artist for many of Hunter S. Thompson's books and stories.

Tire Bite poured with a very small, light colored head that dissipated quickly.  The color of the beer is a pale yellow, almost the color of lemonade.  Aroma is mild, with a little sweetness and citrus.  Fairly light-bodied. Somewhat creamy mouth feel.  I'm not getting any particular flavors on this one; it's just a milder, smooth and drinkable beer.  A little too mild for my taste buds, but this would probably be a good beer to introduce  a 'big brand' drinker to higher-quality beer without scaring them away.
