Rahr's Blonde ....

Tonight's beer is a Rahr's Blonde, Munich-Style Helles Lager, from Rahr & Sons Brewing Company.  Twelve ounce bottle.  The web site shows 4.8% ABV and 22 IBUs.

This beer poured with a thick, white head.  Beer color is a bright, medium yellow/gold.  It has that kind of simple, bready aroma you expect from a lager.  There is a little sweetness and maybe a little spice.  Mild to medium bodied.  A good amount of carbonation.  Some bread to the taste, maybe a little pepper and citrus.  A little hop bitterness builds towards the end and sticks around for the aftertaste.  This is a simple, crisp and refreshing beer that would make a nice summer beer.
