New Belgium Fat Tire ....

Today I will have a Fat Tire Amber Ale from New Belgium Brewing Company.  5.2% is listed on the twelve ounce bottle.  The web site shows 18.5 IBUs.

This beer poured with a medium to thick, creamy colored head.  Beer color is amber.  The aroma is earthy, nutty, toasted and has a caramel sweetness.  Mild to medium bodied.  The toasted character and earthiness carry over to the taste.  Bready, some caramel, vanilla, spice.  The taste is not as sweet as the aroma.  It seemed a little thin and mild at first, but the flavor kind of builds on you.  Almost no aftertaste; just a touch of bitter and vanilla.
