Magic Hat #9 ....

Second beer for the year from Magic Hat Brewing Company - #9.  They describe it as a "Not Quite Pale Ale".  The twelve ounce bottle shows 5.1% ABV.  IBUs are listed as 20 on the web site.

#9 poured with a large, barely off-white head.  The beer is a nice golden color, much like apple juice.  I am getting some light citrus and honey from the aroma, as well as fruit.  Mild-bodied.  The mouth feel is a little thin, although there is some carbonation.  There is fruit in the taste as well, although it is not overly sweet.  Some malt, but not very hoppy.  A somewhat dry finish with very little aftertaste.
