This beer poured with a medium head that was tan or a little darker. The beer color is a darker brown, with some red tint showing when you hold it up to the light. Some light penetrates the glass. The aroma is nice, with some definite chocolate/cocoa and hints of the higher alcohol. The taste is more of the same - some chocolate, then the higher alcohol comes in, and a little sweetness. Softer mouth feel. Medium bodied. The aftertaste leaves you with a little bitter and hints of cocoa. This is not the most complex beer, but it has some good flavor and is one I definitely enjoyed.
